Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes October 3, 2007
MEMBERS PRESENT: Peter Conner, Michael Main, William Keohan, David Peck, Marc Betti, A. Wendy Longo and Robert Richard

Mr. Conner called the meeting to order and explained procedures for the evening.  

CASE NO. 3449 – MAIURI ELECTRICAL – LITTLE SANDY POND ROAD

Sitting: Peter Conner, A. Wendy Longo, William Keohan, David Peck, and Robert Richard.

Mr. Richard read the legal advertisement into the record.

Mr. Parker, Land Management Systems, representing the petitioner, said the petitioner proposes to construct a one-story concrete communications accessory building and appurtenances and a 6’ x 10’ concrete pad for an auxiliary power generator.   The site of the equipment and building is 140’ back in the woods.

Mr. Maiuri said that the sound coming from the communications building is muffled.  The building will be fenced.

No public comment was offered.

CASE NO. 3450 – MOTIVA ENTERPRISES LLC/SHELL – LONG POND ROAD

Mr. Micale, Ayoub Engineering, representing the petitioner, said that the Shell would like to add awnings to both the entrance and exit ends of the car wash building.  The awning is blue with clear weather sides.

CASE NO. 3451 – PAUL AFANASIW, Jr. – BREWSTER STREET

Attorney Daniel Brewer, representing the petitioner, said that the petitioner purchased the property a couple of years ago and has done a total house/yard renovation.  A new gutter system will be put up to prevent pudding during heavy rains.  The carport and deck will not be enclosed.

Mr. Afanasiw said that he has been working on the renovations of this home since he purchased it and when he is finished it will be totally rehabbed with the exception of the window up over the front doorway.

Mr. Shaw, Associated Engineers of Plymouth, reviewed the changes made per the Board’s request.
